Christina Hendricks was nominated in the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” category at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night (August 29).

Sadly she lost to Archie Panjabi from “The Good Wife” but she was true to form by showing her enviable curves wearing a gorgeous Zac Posen Resort 2011 gown on the red carpet.

Emmy Awards 2010: Dress Predictions for Christina Hendricks
Published on August 27th, 2010 by Flo & Filed in Articles and Interviews,Awards & Nominations. Comments Off

Let’s get real here. We don’t watch the Emmy Awards so we can groan at the presenters’ scripted banter or contemplate the popularity of “Two and a Half Men.” It’s the dresses, stupid!

And since we’ve still got time before our favorite small-screen sirens hit the red carpet on Aug. 29, we’ve decided to whip out our crystal ball and handicap what we suspect they’ll wear.

Only they and their stylists know for sure what’s coming out of the closet on the big night, but it doesn’t hurt to do a little detective work.

Judging by “Mad Men” actress Christina Hendricks‘s previous Emmy gowns, we can expect plenty of curves and an intense hue. In 2008, she flaunted her highly praised curvaceous figure in a plunging emerald green Tadashi Shoji, while 2009 saw her in a fitted midnight blue L’Wren Scott (who also designed her blue Met ball gown).

A safe bet is that the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama nominee will turn up in a creation from “Project Runway” winner Christian Siriano, who designed her peach organza Golden Globes frock and the ruffled black gown she wore to last week’s Creative Arts Emmys.

But given the fact that she just wore Siriano and might be wary of wearing a Scott gown at back-to-back Emmy ceremonies, we suspect Hendricks might pull out a surprise showstopper, similar to the red one-shoulder Carolina Herrera gown she wore to this year’s SAG Awards.
